East Shore Leadership Academy was honored to have an OUTSTANDING first ever Career Day this January! We loved dressing as our future career and hearing from real-life professionals in many fields!! We were privileged to have presentations from a seamstress, an engineer, product manager, education consultant/teacher, and an attorney!! Thank you to all who came to share about their career with our students!! It sure was a memorable day!
(For more photos, check out our class Facebook page - Remember to get added as a friend first :)). Take a peek inside our first Thanksgiving feast!! Special thank you to all of our local leaders (parents, teachers, and friends) who selflessly volunteered to help serve our students today!! You have helped to show our students that Leadership can be shown in so many ways!
We had an awesome time with The Detroit Red Wings School Program Coaches!!! Our school has been named a Red Wings School Participant this year! To find out more, stop in and see our banner or pop by the office! Enjoy these pictures of their FUN visit! There may have been a staff & student shoot out! ;)
And 'Thank You' to the Red Wings for our folders, water bottles, and/or T-shirts that were given out as prizes!! **To see pictures of our fun visit, check out our class Facebook page!** East Shore Leadership Academy was very fortunate to have Mary, from the St. Clair County Humane Society S.N.A.P. visit our classroom to kick-off our year-long "ESLA Gives Back" Campaign for 2016-2017! This year, we will be having a "Change Challenge" with all proceeds benefiting the S.N.A.P. Program. Please have your kindergartners bring in any amount of change (coins) on any day and add it to the milk jug in our classroom!!
Did I mention it is a competition among classrooms?! Let's go Kindergarten!! :) **For more information on S.N.A.P., please visit the following website: http://humanesocietysnap.com/ |
